How do I use the CFMail tag to send mail from my ColdFusion pages?
The following article explains how to use the CFMail tag. This tag allows you to send email messages through your website. This tag is available for use on all of our shared hosting accounts and VPS website hosting accounts that support ColdFusion.
The syntax of the tag is very simple. Within the tag you add the pertinent information including the to address, the from address, a subject line and the server name. The server name will be localhost. The message of the email is placed between the cfmail tags.
Below is an example of the CFMail tag for versions of ColdFusion starting with ColdFusion 5.0
