How do I change my passwords through the Control Panel?

The following article explains how to change your account passwords. You have the ability to change the following passwords:

To change the Account Administrator password, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com.
  2. Click on Control Panel Login.
  3. Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain.
  4. Select the Classic Control Panel Tab
    Click on Account & Billing and select Personal Profile.
  5. Select the Appropriate Domain to Manage.
  6. Click on Account & Billing and select Personal Profile. Click on Account & Billing and select Personal Profile.
  7. Under Links, click Reset Password(s). Under <strong>Links</strong>, click Reset Password(s).
  8. Check Control Panel and click Send Email. Check Control Panel and click Send Email.

You will receive an email that contains a link you can use to enter a new password. You also have the option to click the link that is displayed to reset the password.

To change a Technical Contact password, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com.
  2. Click on Control Panel Login.
  3. Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain.
  4. Click on Account & Billing and select Manage Contacts. Click on Account & Billing and select Manage Contacts.
  5. Click the Technical contact you wish to update. Click the Technical contact you wish to update.
  6. Under Links, click Reset Password(s). Under <strong>Links</strong>, click Reset Password(s).
  7. Check Control Panel and click Send Email. Check Control Panel and click Send Email.

You will receive an email that contains a link you can use to enter a new password. You also have the option to click the link that is displayed to reset the password.

To change a Billing Contact password, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com.
  2. Click on Control Panel Login.
  3. Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain.
  4. Click on Account & Billing and select Manage Contacts. Click on Account & Billing and select Manage Contacts.
  5. Click the Billing contact you wish to update. Click the Billing contact you wish to update.
  6. Check Control Panel and click Send Email. Check Control Panel and click Send Email.

You will receive an email that contains a link you can use to enter a new password. You also have the option to click the link that is displayed to reset the password.

To change an FTP user password, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com.
  2. Click on Control Panel Login.
  3. Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain.
  4. Click on Website Administration and select FTP Manager.
  5. Select the FTP User.
  6. Click Update Password.
  7. Enter the new password twice and click Change Password.

To change an email users password, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com.
  2. Click on Control Panel Login.
  3. Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator.
  4. Select the Classic Control Panel Tab
    Click on Account & Billing and select Personal Profile.
  5. Select the Appropriate Domain to Manage.
  6. Click on E-Mail and select Manage Users.
  7. Select the user and click Edit User.
  8. Enter the new password.
  9. Click Change Password.
