How do I configure my MX record for Postini?
The following article explains how to configure your MX record for Postini. Your MX record needs to point to Postini's filter servers. All email is sent to these servers and then forwarded to the SmarterMail server. If your primary domain name is registered through HostMySite, this has been configured for you.
Note: You will need to remove any existing MX record that points to mail#.safesecureweb.com or mail.domainname.com.
Your MX records should be configured as follows:
Data | MX Priority |
domainname.com.s7a1.psmtp.com. | 100 |
domainname.com.s7a2.psmtp.com. | 200 |
domainname.com.s7b1.psmtp.com. | 300 |
domainname.com.s7b2.psmtp.com. | 400 |
Instructions for modifying your MX records can be found here.
