How do I create a domain alias?
The following article explains how to create a domain alias. A domain alias is an additional domain name you have registered that can be configured for your email accounts. For example, if you have domainname.com as the name of the mail account, you can add domainname.org as a domain alias. Messages sent to domainname.org will be filtered and delivered to the domainname.com user.
To create a domain alias, please follow these steps:
- Open a browser window and go to www.HostMySite.com
- Click on Control Panel Login.
- Log into the Control Panel as the Account Administrator and select the appropriate domain.
- Expand Postini Spam Filtering and click Manage Domain Aliases.
- Select the appropriate domain profile from the drop down. If you only have one domain profile, it will be selected by default.
- Enter the domain alias.
- Click Add Domain Alias.
Please allow 5 minutes for the domain alias to be configured and up to 24 hours for the filtering to take effect.
