What are the technical requirements in order to run VisualVault on a server?
The following article explains the technical requirements in order to run VisualVault on a server once licensing is purchased.
Operating System: Windows 2000 server, Enterprise server, Windows 2003 server, Windows .NET server
Security Model: Windows NT Domain or Windows Active Directory
Processor: 1 Ghz processor minimum required, 2 Ghz or higher recommended
Memory: Minimum 512MB RAM per server - 1GB recommended
Server Disk Space: Minimum 400mb available disk space per server. VisualVault requires less than 50mb of disk space, however it is important that the server has adequate disk space for virtual memory use and database storage. The disk configuration recommended is a RAID 5 disk array.
Single Server Software Requirements:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 or higher.
- Microsoft Database Engine (MSDE) for lower document storage capacity requirements (approximately a million files dependent on their size) or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 for sites requiring additional document storage capacity. MSDE is available from Microsoft. There is no performance difference using MSDE.
- IIS 5.0 or above
- All of the latest SQL and .NET Framework service packs
